Rare Nail Care centers on the Russian manicure, a gel-based service that the business describes as high-end. It is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 7:30 pm and is closed on Mondays and Sundays. Booking requires card details, which are kept on file and not charged when the appointment is made.

The Russian manicure begins with cuticle care and nail preparation using an e-file fitted with 100% diamond precision bits. Structured gel polish follows, chosen as a soft gel or hard gel depending on what the nails need. Gel overlays are only applied to natural nails. Extensions, tips, acrylic, dip powder and gel X services are not offered.

Structured gel is applied in a gel that works much like an acrylic overlay but soaks off easily, and it includes detailed e-file cuticle work. According to the business, these manicures last three weeks or more, depending on aftercare and daily habits. Clients arriving with structured gel from another salon can add a removal service, which is only available to them and not to regular clients using the studio's products.

Nail art is offered as add-ons, and the business is selective about which designs it takes on, offering only work it is passionate about and confident executing. Minimal art covers solid gel colors, cat eye, chrome and small designs that take ten minutes or less. Medium art covers French tips and other designs on two to three nails. A 30-minute add-on covers aura nails, French tips with chrome and multi-color designs with more than two or three colors. Removal and nail art are not part of the Russian manicure price and must be added separately.

Arrival and cancellation rules matter here. New clients must come in with bare nails, and work applied elsewhere is not removed, so clients arriving with other products are turned away and charged the full service fee. Cancelling within the 24 hours before an appointment means the full cost is charged to the card on file. Arriving ten or more minutes late means designs and add-ons cannot be done, and only tinted bases and top coats are available that visit.

The business works on natural nails only, focusing on careful cuticle preparation and e-file work before gel is applied, and it limits nail art to designs it feels confident executing.
