For a fixed monthly price, members get one appointment a month, priority booking, locked-in pricing and hair accessories included. Plans differ in what each visit covers, from a natural braid with accessories, to cornrows or single braids with beads and bows, to a braided style with added hair, or a medium knotless or feed-in set. The salon says members can save up to $540 a year and get access to trending and curated styles and discounts on its Summer Braiding Camp.
Booking works by request. Requests go out by automatic email and text and must be approved before a booking is confirmed, and the salon allows up to 48 hours for a reply. For same-day or emergency needs, clients can text the admin line at 678-888-6118 for a faster response. Each appointment has a 15-minute grace period, after which a $30 late fee may apply to accepted appointments. A card on file is needed to hold a time, and a client who does not arrive is charged 50% of the service cost. Rescheduling forfeits the initial deposit and requires a new one. Standard hours are 9 am to 6 pm, with the salon closed on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Early morning and evening slots are available for an extra fee, and observed holidays carry a holiday fee. Pricing is the same for adults and children. Hair is included with knotless and feed-in braids, while shampoo and blow dry, snacks and special hair colors cost extra.
The Loganville salon became a Safe Place location, part of a national youth safety program run with Positive Impact International, and all staff are trained to help young people in need. The salon also hosts monthly community outreach events, including Movie on the Lawn, a Community Pop Up Shop, Paint and Sip and Pictures with Santa. These events showcase local small business owners.
RQB School offers braid classes for people who want to learn braiding or start a braid business. Options include a 4-week Braid Class, a Stitch Braid Class and one-on-one coaching in a 6-hour session tailored to each student. The curriculum covers knotless and feed-in braids, natural styles, locs and styling for kids, with practice on mannequins and live models. Students also study braid theory and the cultural history of braiding. Business topics include setting prices, budgeting, booking systems, client communication, consultation and client retention. Starter kits and supply lists are provided, and students get ongoing mentorship and access to a student network after the course. Split payment is available by emailing admin@raisingqueensbraids.com.
Memberships give regular clients set monthly appointments and pricing, and the school treats braiding as both a craft and a business.
