Rainforest Head Spa

Rainforest Head Spa was founded by Jena and Hannah and describes itself as the first dedicated Japanese head spa in St. Louis. The Ellisville studio on Manchester Road serves guests across West County, while the Cottleville studio on State Route N serves St. Charles County and nearby communities.

Treatments are Japanese-inspired and also draw on Korean and Chinese head spa styles. The focus is on cleansing, detoxifying and refreshing the scalp so that hair looks shinier and grows from the roots. The business says it prefers intentional care to upselling, so every guest receives the same full experience.

Each 60-minute session starts with a professional scalp scan and a therapeutic scalp cleanse, then a replenishing hair treatment. Guests also receive a personalized mini facial and hydro-fall water therapy. Sessions finish with styling products and an optional rough blow dry. Hydrate adds a hydrafacial scalp detox and massage, and all three treatments use a 10-step hair process. There are no add-ons or upgrades to choose from.

Booking is by appointment only, Monday through Saturday. Gift cards are available, and each $120 card covers any of the three treatments, with gratuity optional at purchase.
