On the medical side, the practice diagnoses and treats complex skin disorders, including severe acne, hair loss, eczema, psoriasis, and vitiligo. Psoriasis treatment ranges from topical steroids, vitamin D derivatives, retinoids, and calcineurin inhibitors to phototherapy such as PUVA, narrow-band UVB, and excimer laser, with oral systemic medicines such as methotrexate, cyclosporine, or acitretin for moderate to severe cases, and biologics. Phototherapy equipment includes Blue Light, B-Clear Light, Narrow-Band UVB, and an excimer laser. Eczema care uses topical steroids, non-steroidal topicals, calcineurin inhibitors, skin barrier repair emollients, and a combination of narrow-band UVB and excimer laser. Acne care can include oral and topical antibiotics, benzoyl peroxide, topical and oral retinoids for resistant or severe acne, chemical peels, manual extraction, and microdermabrasion. Surgical treatment of skin cancers can be combined with reconstructive cosmetic surgery.
The Cosmetic department covers face, nose, breast, body, and skin procedures. Face work includes AlloDerm implants, Asian eyelid surgery, blepharoplasty, brow lift, chin and cheek implants, face lift, neck rejuvenation, and Power Lip Sculpture. Body procedures include Body Sculpting Vaser, liposuction and liposculpture, ultrasonically assisted liposuction, fat transfer, and tummy tuck. Breast surgery options include implants, reduction, breast lip reduction, and male breast reduction, and rhinoplasty covers the nose. Skin treatments include chemical peels, DiamondTome and Skin Master ultrasonic dermabrasion, laser skin resurfacing, non-ablative skin rejuvenation, and scar revision. Injectable options include Botox, Dysport, Restylane and Perlane, and Collagen Replacement Treatment. Other offerings cover laser spider vein therapy, facial vein treatment, sclerotherapy for leg veins, laser hair removal, tattoo removal, and hand rejuvenation.
The Esthetic Center provides skin treatments including facials, acne extraction, microdermabrasion, Skin Master, DiamondTome, chemical peels, and the VI Peel. Treatments are performed by licensed estheticians who have worked alongside Dr. Nguyen since 2003 and have received advanced training from him. Guests can book a free consultation with a licensed esthetician. The practice also retails and uses a range of skin care brands: ZO Medical, SkinCeuticals, Obagi, Revaleskin, Latisse, La Roche-Posay, Kinerase Pro MD, and GLO Minerals makeup.
The practice accepts most PPO insurance plans, Medicare, Tricare, Kaiser, and Riverside Medical Clinic HMO, and also takes cash patients.
