R&C Beauty College

R&C Beauty College is a licensed beauty school in Pflugerville, serving students from Pflugerville, Round Rock, Hutto, Manor and the Austin area. The school holds an active Texas school license from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) and says it has more than 30 years of experience and has trained over 200 students. Programs are taught in Spanish and English. Students can enroll full-time or part-time, and the school offers guidance for working in a salon or starting their own business after graduation. Training covers a 1,000-hour Class A Barber program with classic and modern cuts, fades, straight-razor shaving and beard grooming; a 1,000-hour Cosmetology Operator program; a 750-hour esthetics program covering skin analysis, facials and treatments; a 600-hour manicurist program; and a 320-hour eyelash extension course. The barber program requires no prior experience and begins with the basics. Preparation is aligned with TDLR licensing requirements, and the TDLR license exam is offered in Spanish as well.

Students learn by working on real clients in the campus student salon, which uses professional tools and products as a working salon would. Each service is carried out by a student and checked by an instructor at every stage until the finished result, so appointments can run longer than at a standard salon. The lash course also covers eyebrow design with henna and lamination, along with marketing for lash artists, and its classes meet on Thursdays and Fridays.

Prices depend on the service and treatment chosen and are given during a phone consultation, as are tuition and lash course costs. The school runs a monthly promotion for new students, with terms given at consultation. The school describes its student-salon prices as accessible. The campus is open Monday through Thursday from 12 pm to 6 pm and Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm, and it is closed on Sundays.
