A visit usually starts with a 60-minute consultation, where the owner talks through a client's hair care history, styling preferences and daily lifestyle to decide whether Sisterlocks are a good fit. Installation is a long appointment, typically 15 to 24 hours, and new clients are asked for a $300 deposit toward the $500 installation. Retightening is needed every 4 to 6 weeks at first, then every 6 to 8 weeks once the locs are fully formed.
The business also makes its own natural hair products for locs, braids and protective styles, and it advises clients on which products to use and when. Packages are available, and any package credits apply automatically at checkout when booking through the services page.
Appointments run Monday through Thursday and Saturday from 6 AM to 9 PM, Friday from 6 PM to 9 PM, and Sunday from 6 AM to 7 PM. A $25 fee applies to no-shows and to appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. Payment options include Buy Now, Pay Later for bookings from $50 to $4,000, subject to approval before the appointment.
