About

QQ Nails opened its first location on Christopher Street in New York in 2006, and the business says it has been operating for 20 years. The salon's home page states it has more than 42 locations in New York, and the addresses listed for booking are mostly in Manhattan, with additional salons in Queens, Long Island and Great Neck. The salon describes itself as the best nail salon in New York.

Gel manicures are the core of the menu. A Color Gel Manicure with soak-off removal takes about 35 minutes according to the booking page and is listed from $38 to $45 depending on location. QQ Gel X, the salon's extension service, takes about 60 minutes and is listed from $70 to $95. The Japanese Gel and Seamless Gel Extensions are described by the business as a signature service, and the menu also includes Fluffy Builder Gel (BIAB) and a Spring Gel Collection.

Beyond nails, the menu includes a QQ Tea Ritual Spa Manicure and Pedicure, structured gel manicures, little hand care, spa manicure and pedicure services, manicure day packages, pedicures, waxing and massage. Not every location shows all of these, so the menu should be checked for the specific salon.

Group bookings are available for birthdays, bridal parties, team outings, girls' days and other celebrations, and the team coordinates them on request. Appointments can be booked online through the salon's mobile app, which also has a loyalty program that gives points for each service toward future services or discounts. Gift cards can be bought online or in store at any location.

Booking policies: gel polish removal costs nothing when the same gel service is rebooked, but a removal fee applies if a different service is booked. Gel chips or lifts reported within seven days of a gel service can be taken to the location for repair, or photos can be sent by email to the salon's inquiries address. Cancellations and reschedules made at least 24 hours ahead incur no penalty, while changes made within 12 hours are subject to a fee equal to 30% of the scheduled total. Clients have a 15-minute grace window for late arrival. A missed appointment without notice is charged 30% of the reserved total, less any deposit already paid. Sales are final and services are non-refundable. The business partners with two nonprofits, Garden of Hope New York and Girls Inc. of NYC.

The founder's stated aim is to offer skilled nail care to all guests, combining precise technique with considerate service. According to the salon, it uses products it considers the best available and maintains a tidy, sanitary space for clients.

The salon says it keeps a clean and hygienic environment for its clients.
