Pure Skin by Kat is a skin care business in Newtown, Connecticut, on the second floor at 30 Church Hill Road. Its services are grouped into facials, peels, add-ons, waxing, brow and lash services, and body treatments.

The facial menu ranges from a 30-minute Express Facial and a Teen Facial to 60-minute options. The Classic Facial is suggested for people new to facials or those who have not had one in a long time. The Pure Skin Hybrid Facial combines a traditional facial with a built-in chemical peel and suits sensitive skin. The Into the Deep Detox Facial is designed for oily and congested skin and requires a consultation first. Other choices include a Biosonic Anti-Aging Facial, which is booked by phone, a Microdermabrasion Facial Treatment that can be paired with an RF Skin Tight treatment, and the Just for the Fellas Facial, which includes enzyme exfoliation and a hydrating mask. A monthly facial membership starting at $99 includes a light chemical peel or microdermabrasion, a face mask and gentle extractions each month.

Peel options include the Smart Peel, which can be customized and done year-round, the Green Peel Mini, which uses milled herbs massaged into the skin, and TCA or glycolic peels in two options. There is also a Pumkin Peel. Add-ons include microdermabrasion, micro exfoliation and hydrodermabrasion, a CO2-based treatment similar to a hydrafacial. Hand and body services include an Anti-Aging Hand Treatment that uses chemical peels and a Skin Firming Cold Body Wrap that uses cryo cooling bands.

Waxing covers a Brazilian wax that removes hair from front to back, for which clients are asked to exfoliate two to three days beforehand, and a lip wax. Brow services include brow tint, which stains hair only, a brow stain that lasts seven to ten days and can be added to any brow service, brow shape maintenance recommended every three to four weeks, and a bundle of three brow laminations that saves $40 compared with booking them separately. Lash tint for upper and lower lashes lasts four to five weeks.

The studio is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9:30 AM to 3 PM, and closed Sunday and Monday. To cancel or reschedule, clients should call or email at least 24 hours ahead. Clients who arrive 15 minutes late have their appointment canceled and need to rebook online, and no-call, no-show clients are charged the full service price. Some services require a deposit between $10 and $160. Buy Now, Pay Later is available for in-person bookings from $50 to $4,000 with approval needed before the appointment.
