Pure Body Salon & Suites traces its roots to 1983, when David Berry opened Pure Body Hair Studio on Wilkinson Boulevard in Charlotte. The business became Pure Body Hair Designs, Inc. on Freedom Drive in 1984, and in 2007 it took the name Pure Body Salon & Spa Inc. and was housed in a renovated 1940 home on the border of Charlotte's Historic Wesley Heights community. In 2020 it became Pure Body Salon & Suites Inc., adding subcontractor booths and privately owned suites.

Pure Body Salon & Suites traces its roots to 1983, when David Berry opened Pure Body Hair Studio on Wilkinson Boulevard in Charlotte. The business became Pure Body Hair Designs, Inc. on Freedom Drive in 1984, and in 2007 it took the name Pure Body Salon & Spa Inc. and was housed in a renovated 1940 home on the border of Charlotte's Historic Wesley Heights community. In 2020 it became Pure Body Salon & Suites Inc., adding subcontractor booths and privately owned suites.

Today booth-rental professionals work on the first level and suite owners work on the second. The salon sits at 2415 Tuckaseegee Road, about four miles from Uptown Charlotte.

The interior is black and white with chandeliers and what the salon calls advanced salon technology. Complimentary snacks and beverages are offered, Wi-Fi is free, and there is ample parking with a handicap sign and ramp. The salon is handicap accessible and has two indoor bathrooms.

Listed prices are starting prices and can change. They rise with hair length and texture, and detailed pricing is available on request. Each professional has a separate booking system, so clients book directly with the person they want.

Hours are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM Wednesday through Friday, and 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday. Monday and Sunday are reserved for special events. Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover and cash are accepted, but checks are not, and credit cards are not used for prepayments. Children and others not receiving services are not permitted, and the salon reserves the right to refuse service. Guests should eat before entering, though snacks and drinks are allowed. Cell phone use is fine as long as it isn't distracting, and video recording takes place on the premises.

The salon says it won first place at the 2016 Queen City Hair Battle, was named Salon of the Year and Spa of the Year by QC Information Broker Magazine in 2011, was selected as a 2010 Best of Charlotte Award winner by the United States Commerce Association, and won the 2009 Best of Business Award in the Salon & Day Spa category.

Each service is built around the client's hair and carried out with professional products and equipment.
