Pure Avidity Salon

Pure Avidity Salon is a curl-focused hair salon in Orlando, working with curly, coily and wavy hair. It is located within Phenix Salon Suites at SODO Shopping Center, positioned between a Target store and the Orlando Health Institute for Learning. Cuts are tailored to each curl type. The salon describes itself as a safe place for curls in Orlando.

Owner Nina Woodley started in curly hair after learning to care for her own curls, which led her to make curl education her career. Her work has been as a curly hair specialist since 2016.

New guests book a new guest appointment, whether or not they have had a curly haircut elsewhere. The 90-minute new guest service without a haircut and the 2.5 to 3 hour New Guest Signature Curly Cut both begin with a consultation about routine, frustrations and goals, then a curl analysis, a two-step detox treatment, a cleanse and a private one-on-one curl education lesson. New guests also receive a curl success starter gift and a follow-up email within a week reviewing their appointment information.

Existing guests can choose a Hydration Transformation, which cleanses, conditions, styles and dries curls, or a Signature Curly Cut, which includes a curly-specific cut, cleanse, condition and style. Recommended maintenance for curly haircuts is every three to six months. Services are by appointment only, and walk-ins are not accepted. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are charged the fee for the scheduled service.

Retail includes Innersense Organic Beauty, Original Moxie and the CurlyWorld collection. Stock is limited and restocked regularly, so the salon suggests contacting it before visiting to confirm a product is available. In-salon purchases can be exchanged at full credit within 30 days if the product is at least 80 percent full or unopened. The salon is open until 7pm on Wednesdays and Fridays and on Sundays at premium pricing, though new guests are not eligible for evening appointments on their first visit.

The Pure Avidity Approach analyzes five natural features of each client's hair to build a hair profile, then creates a care routine around the client's lifestyle and hair needs.
