Publicity Salon

Publicity Salon was founded by Jennifer Bass Billman, a Master Colorist and Extension Specialist who has worked in hair for more than 30 years. The salon is inside Van Cleef Salon in Nichols Hills Plaza and is open Tuesday through Friday and Saturday from 11 AM to 6 PM, with Sundays closed unless arranged in advance.

The menu is organized around four areas. Color covers balayage, highlights, corrective color and custom color. Extensions include tape-in, clip-in, weft and NBR, with NBR extension work beginning with an application that asks for front and back photos and a picture of the desired look. Texture services include Kerasilk keratin smoothing and Kerasilk De-Frizz, an in-salon treatment the salon says lasts up to four to six weeks, and the salon also offers perms done with modern techniques. Treatments come in four plans: hydration and moisture, color protection, repair and rebuild, and scalp health.

Products are a mix of Goldwell, which the salon uses in service and recommends for care at home between visits, Kerasilk used in treatments, and Nutrafol hair wellness products, which are sold through the salon in separate formulas for women and for men.

The salon also publishes a Hair Tips blog covering color, extensions, healthy hair, treatments, products and seasonal care, which gives readers a sense of its work before they book.

Every service begins with a personalized consultation, and new clients are asked to start with one, which can be booked through the website.
