The salon opened about ten weeks before September 2010, according to a Takara Belmont post. Takara Belmont later named it its 2010 fourth-quarter Cutting Edge Design winner, a distinction the salon's listing reports as the designer's own claim.

The space is planned around privacy, so each client has the feel of a private salon. Equipment includes Takara Belmont Rollerball II units, Sara shampoo units, Odin styling chairs and Millwork fixtures.

Owner and artistic director Kathryn Picraux works as a hair stylist in the salon. Philadelphia Style magazine has featured the salon, including a 2015 profile of her. Clients travel in from Washington D.C., Brooklyn, North Jersey and farther away.

The salon has a Bridal Boutique section for brides and wedding parties.

Designed for privacy, so each client has a private-salon feel.
