Prism Electrolysis is run by Christina, who owns the business and works as its electrologist. The studio is open by appointment Sunday to Thursday, 11am to 7pm, at a unit in a Canyon Rim Road complex in Anaheim with easy parking, and the space is set up to feel calm and comfortable.
Electrolysis is the only method the studio offers. It uses thermolysis, galvanic and blend electrolysis, and the studio chooses among them based on each client's hair and skin. The studio describes electrolysis as the only FDA-approved permanent hair removal method, and says it works on light, red and grey hair that laser may not detect or treat well. It also says electrolysis does not carry the risk of paradoxical hypertrichosis that can follow laser treatment. The studio lists permanent removal for the upper lip, chin, cheeks, eyebrows and ears, along with back, chest, neck, underarms and other body areas. It also offers hair removal for PMOS-related facial and body hair growth, for transgender clients, and for red, blonde, grey and white hair. A first visit is a 30-minute New Client Consultation, which includes 20 minutes of treatment and covers hair removal goals, skin type and the right method for the client. Sessions run from 15 minutes to 3 hours. Because hair grows in cycles, several sessions are usually needed to complete permanent removal. Redness or swelling after a session usually fades within 24 hours. Over-the-counter numbing cream is available for clients who want it before treatment, and clients receive aftercare guidance on keeping the area clean, limiting sun exposure and moisturizing.
Electrolysis only, with a choice of thermolysis, galvanic or blend methods matched to each client's hair and skin. The studio aims to be a comfortable, safe space for every client.
The studio is designed to feel comfortable and relaxing.
