The concept centers on shampoo blowouts performed by trained hair technicians, with other beauty services and makeup, lashes and clip-in extensions available as add-ons.

A visit typically starts with a professional shampoo and blowout, and the salon serves a refreshing beverage during service. Clients can ask for an iPad to read while their hair is styled. For clients who want a full look, makeup can be added, and the Primp and Blow blowout includes a full makeup application using Smashbox Cosmetics. Locations also have a makeup bar where clients can try foundations, blushes and bronzers.

The range of services extends past blowouts. Styling options include braids, dry styles, updos and a Primp and Press service. Add-ons are a Hot Tool service that creates curls and waves intended to last longer, a Scalp Massage during conditioning, and a Hair Therapy Treatment with two washes and a scalp treatment, which the salon recommends every two weeks. Tween Blowouts are for ages 6 to 12, and The Itty Bitty is for children five and under.

Hair extensions are a major part of the menu. Options include Bellami Pro clip-ins, Bellami sew-in wefts, Bellami I-tips, Halo extensions, micro-cylinder and Remy hair extensions, and permanent extensions. Hair extension removal is offered for permanent extensions whether or not Primp and Blow installed them, and a new set can be installed at the same visit. A free consultation is available for clip-in extensions, and a Style and Apply ONLY service styles and applies clip-ins that clients bring in.

Makeup and bridal services are another focus. Options include Full Face Makeup, Airbrush Full Face, False Eyelashes and Eyes and Lips Only. Bridal services cover hair and makeup for the bride and bridal party, with a wedding trial run offered to the bride. On-location weddings have a minimum of three people or $500 in total services, and tattoo cover-ups using concealer are available as an add-on to wedding services. Parties and events are booked for the whole group, with the blow dry bar reserved for the party and themes that include birthdays, proms, bachelorette parties and corporate events.

The salon describes its concept as helping clients leave feeling confident by the end of their visit, and it says its team is trained through class and hands-on instruction before technicians become certified.
