Prickly Peach opened in Pleasant Hill in 2017, founded by owner Megan, who had built her hair removal work over several Bay Area salons before starting her own. The salon's stated mission is to offer an empowering experience to every client while keeping service quality high.

Waxing is the core of the business. Brow waxing begins with brow mapping, and the shape is tailored to each client's facial features. Bikini waxing is also offered.
