Jennifer Daffern founded the business. She worked at a local nail salon before opening the Escondido location, which came after several years of saving and working toward it. She now leads two salons, Prestige and Nirvana Nails.

A gel manicure (listed at $55) includes nail shaping, detailed cuticle care, a collagen hand treatment and a five-minute hand and arm massage. A gel pedicure (listed at $67) adds a foot soak, nail shaping, cuticle care, gentle callus care, a warm towel finish and a seven-minute pressure-point foot massage. New guests can book a gel manicure and gel pedicure together for $99.

The salon offers bridal and private party bookings, and experiences for moms and kids. Massage chairs are new, according to a client review on the home page. Gift cards are available. The Escondido location is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 7pm and Sunday from 10am to 5pm, and can be reached at (760) 738-9766.

Uses non-toxic products without harsh chemicals, and presents its gel polish as a safer option than acrylic, according to the salon. It says its services are suitable for clients who are pregnant or have sensitive skin.
