Prestige Nail School is a nail-only training school at a Las Vegas location on South Buffalo Drive. The school states that its education covers nails alone and that its classes are taught by nail technology professionals rather than instructors from other beauty fields. It is accredited by NACCAS and licensed by the Nevada State Board of Cosmetology.
The core program is a 600-hour Nail Technology Course covering manicure, pedicure, e-filing, gel, acrylic, hard gel, dipping powder, Apres Gel-X, poly gel and nail art. Students can choose a full-time track of at least 40 hours a week over 15 weeks, Part Time 1 at 32 or more hours a week over 19 weeks, or Part Time 2 at 24 or more hours a week over 25 weeks. Classes run Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm and start on Mondays, or on Tuesdays when Monday is a holiday. Practical training is one-on-one and each student moves at their own pace. Students may begin working on real clients after 100 hours and may practice on friends and family. At 500 hours they sit the Nevada practical exam at the school, and after 600 hours and graduation they register for the Nevada theory and state law exams, which are administered at Pearson VUE.
Services at the school are performed by students, so quality and service times may differ from a professional salon. Manicures and pedicures are priced from $5 and nail enhancements start at $20. The school states that it has four dedicated ventilation systems to remove air and odors from chemicals and that its classroom is spacious and equipped with audio and video technology. Clients who book must hold a valid credit card on file, and only clients receiving services may enter the clinic, with service animals as the only animals allowed.
For working professionals, the school offers short courses including a two-day nail technology refresher, a one-day dipping powder class, a two-day acrylic workshop, one-day Apres Gel-X and hard gel extension classes, a one-day comprehensive e-file class, and one-day basic and advanced nail art and design classes. Advanced classes are open to licensed professionals who want to build skills. Students who complete the full Gel-X class and course may earn an Apres Gel-X certification, which the school lists as a $600 value.
Admission requires being at least 17, proof of secondary education, a valid SSN or ITIN, government photo ID, and English sufficient to complete the program. No prior nail experience is needed. Tuition for the Nail Technology Course is $4,995, plus a $100 non-refundable application fee and a $100 technology fee. The estimated total is $5,415 if students bring their own tools, $5,745 with the basic kit, or $6,195 with the pro kit. Tuition may be paid in one to four installments by cash, check or credit card, and card payments carry a 3% non-refundable convenience fee. The school does not offer FAFSA. The school reports 2024 outcomes of 98% graduation, 94% placement and a 100% licensure exam pass rate.
