The cosmetic side includes injectables, fillers and peels. Botox, Dysport and Jeuveau are offered, along with Kybella for moderate to severe fat below the chin; a Kybella treatment often calls for one to two vials, with two or three sessions about a month apart. Restylane and Juvederm hyaluronic acid fillers are used for moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds and to add lip fullness, with results lasting up to twelve months or longer. Chemical peels are medically based and tailored to concerns such as acne, wrinkles, discoloration, sun damage and aging, and they can be booked as a single treatment or a package. An aesthetician consultation helps choose the right peel for a patient's skin type. Medical microdermabrasion uses a diamond-encrusted wand followed by a light chemical peel, offered singly or as a package of four.
The practice offers a range of light and laser treatments. Its LightPod Neo uses an Aerolase laser, which the site describes as FDA approved, emitting 1064nm wavelength light in 650-microsecond pulses. For skin rejuvenation, the treatment is usually given monthly over roughly six months. The site describes it as best suited to patients aged 30 to 55 with skin types I to IV who show early signs of aging. The same laser is used for acne and acne scars, where improvement typically takes up to four treatments. IPL photo rejuvenation addresses rosacea, broken capillaries, redness and uneven pigmentation, with three treatments usually giving the most benefit. MicroLaser Peel uses an erbium laser, usually given as a series of two or three sessions. Laser hair removal is available for medium to lighter skin types. The practice notes that no laser hair removal is permanent. According to the practice, Aerolase won the Best Laser for Hair Removal award from the Aestheticians' Choice Awards, presented by DERMASCOPE, for the third consecutive year.
Potenza RF microneedling, offered for the face and body and described as FDA-approved, uses ultrafine needles and radiofrequency energy to reach deeper skin layers and support collagen and elastin production. It is used for fine lines and wrinkles, uneven tone and texture, scarring, blemishes, skin laxity and stretch marks, and can be performed on all skin types and tones, including tanned skin, at any time of year. A topical numbing cream is applied first, and most sessions take under 45 minutes. Stinging, mild burning, light pressure and pinpoint bleeding are normal and last only for the treatment. An initial series of three or five sessions, a month apart, is typical and is set at consultation; the practice recommends at least three for the best results, though a single session can be used to brighten the skin before a major event. Skin may look smoother within about two weeks, and final results can take two to six months. Patients are asked to avoid alcohol the night before, arrive with clean, shaven skin and no jewelry, then use SPF 50 and a gentle cleanser and moisturizer afterward, apply ice for 20 minutes every two hours during the first day, and avoid scratching or scrubbing. SkinPen microneedling, a separate cosmetic service, uses tiny needles to create controlled micro-injuries that prompt collagen and elastin.
Patients can book by calling either office. Creve Coeur is open Monday through Friday with shorter hours on Wednesday and Friday, and Kirkwood is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday with a shorter Friday. Patient information, medical history, financial policy and auto pay forms can be printed and completed before a first visit, and bills can be paid online.
