Pop Hair Salon operates as a studio space inside Armand Salon Suites on North Clark Street, a short distance north of the Andersonville neighborhood. The studio is run by its owner, Kenny Moore, who works there as the only stylist.
The menu is built around haircuts. Women can book a short to medium cut, a long cut that finishes at the middle of the back, or a transition cut that takes long hair to a shorter length. Men can choose a clipper cut, a scissor cut done without clippers, or a cut that goes from long to short. An all-scissor haircut and wolf cuts or other specialized styles are also offered.
A haircut can be paired with a gloss treatment, which is meant to add shine and includes vitamins A and C to help strengthen the hair. Color services are also part of the work at the studio.
Payment can be made by Venmo, Zelle, cash or credit card, and cash tips are preferred. The studio asks for 24 hours' notice to cancel an appointment.
