Pink Sugar Curl Studio is owned by Tahia Sanders, a licensed cosmetologist, and works with clients whose hair ranges from wavy to kinky. The studio is set up around curl care that works with the hair's natural pattern instead of trying to change it, and its focus is on helping clients feel confident in their natural look.

Permanent color is bleach-free and leans toward warm shades such as browns, reds and coppers. For clients who want a smaller change, the Pop of Color accent service adds highlights and includes bleach or lightener. The studio is not the right fit for dramatic lightening, cool tones, or lifting previous dark color.

Every first-time color appointment starts with a required virtual consultation. If the consultation goals fit, a complimentary color correction can be booked within 14 days of the original appointment.

Services are by appointment only, with no walk-ins, and guests must be 12 or older to be served. Booking requires a valid card on file and a non-refundable deposit to reserve. Clients can reschedule up to 48 hours ahead; same-day cancellations carry a $50 fee, and no-call or no-show appointments are charged the full scheduled amount. Arriving more than 10 minutes late may mean rescheduling and a cancellation fee. Sales, including color services and retail products, are final. Accepted payments are card (with a 4% processing fee), Zelle, Apple Pay and exact cash. Clients are asked to come with detangled, product-free hair and to leave extra guests and children at home unless they are being serviced. Metered street parking is nearby through the ParkMobile app or a paybox, with free parking on Sundays and along 62nd Street and nearby residential streets. Hours are Tuesday to Friday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sunday 10:30 am to 4:30 pm.
