The salon grew out of owner Lindsay Blodgett's own period of self-discovery, and its name comes from a guided meditation during a mentorship in which a pinecone appeared.

Sessions are one-on-one. Before a visit, clients are asked to wear soft, loose clothing, avoid turtlenecks, and take off earrings, necklaces and bracelets. A free ten-minute discovery call is available to help clients choose a session. Some haircut rituals open with an aura spray, a reiki-infused hair wash, aromatherapy and an acupressure scalp massage before the cut.

Head spa services are organic and botanical, held in a private space and tailored to each client. The Luxury Spa Treatment starts with a microscopic scalp analysis and is aimed at scalp concerns such as eczema, psoriasis, hair loss or thinning, and dandruff. The Ultimate is a longer custom session that the salon describes as working with root causes of scalp imbalance, using clairvoyant observation, intuitive hair reading, reiki and chakra rebalancing.

The salon notes that its energy healing work is not a substitute for clinical counseling or mental health treatment. Apothecary products have not been evaluated by the FDA and are not intended to diagnose, cure or prevent disease, and pregnant or nursing clients are advised to consult a medical practitioner before using them. Gift cards can be used for hair and healing services and for Apothecary products.

Pairs haircutting with energy-based work, using a holistic approach that the salon presents as supporting emotional well-being and self-care alongside a haircut.
