About

Piel Canela Waxing works out of Aether Beauty Collective on Rojas Drive in El Paso. The studio presents itself as more than a waxing studio, with the aim of making self-care feel empowering, approachable and personal.

The studio was founded by licensed esthetician Sandy Avilez, who has practiced since 2015. Its stated goal is a safe, comfortable and inclusive space where every body can take part in self-care, and the studio says it focuses on empowering women through that self-care.

Visits begin with services adjusted to each client's skin needs. The menu runs from small areas such as the lip, ears and inner thighs to full arms, legs and backs, and many body services are priced by size. Customer reviews on the home page describe the setting as clean, private and relaxing.

Brow waxing starts with a consultation and brow mapping, after which the brows are waxed, tweezed and trimmed. A complimentary styling with concealer and clear brow gel is available on request, and brow lamination can be combined with tinting, waxing or both.

Services are tailored to each client's skin, and the studio pairs professional technique with personal attention.

Clients describe the setting as clean, private and relaxing.
