The practice sits within Rebel Med Northwest, an integrative clinic in Ballard that Simon co-founded in 2018, and it is set up as a home for acupuncture alongside bodywork, aesthetics, injections and divination-based sessions.

A first acupuncture visit runs about 60 to 90 minutes and covers intake, assessment, treatment and a treatment plan. Follow-up visits last around 50 minutes. Conditions the practice works with include headaches, migraines, jaw pain and TMJ, concussion, digestive conditions, depression, anxiety, PMS and PMDD, PTSD support, neck and low back pain, and sciatica. A free 15-minute consultation with Simon is offered for anyone deciding whether to book.

Acupuncture is used alongside other methods, including Qi Gong and Chinese medical bodywork, cupping, gua sha, LENS neurofeedback, herbal medicine consultations and herbs. Insurance can be used for most acupuncture visits, though not for Internal Reflections or pregnancy induction sessions. Rebel Med NW can run coverage checks, and non-covered therapies carry their own charges.

Booking requires a credit or debit card to hold the appointment, which is charged only after the visit if the patient chooses. A 24-hour cancellation policy applies, and a late cancellation or no-show is charged 50% of a basic acupuncture visit. The practice also publishes a blog and email newsletter called Original Qi, covering acupuncture, Chinese medicine, divination, and life and health.

Acupuncture is combined with bodywork, herbal medicine and neurofeedback, with each visit built around intake, assessment and a treatment plan.
