Phenix Salon Suites rents private salon suites in Tarzana to independent salon professionals and other business professionals. Each suite lets the tenant run their own business without having to manage the building, its upkeep or its day-to-day facilities.

The company was founded by Jason and Gina, and the founding family includes salon professionals, one of whom is a hair stylist. It began expanding in 2012. According to the company, it now has more than 275 locations operating across the US, with more than 300 additional locations planned over the next couple of years. The company describes itself as the fastest growing salon suite concept in the US and says it is the only salon suite or studio concept on Entrepreneur Magazine's top 500 ranking. These are the company's own claims.

Leases are month-to-month with no long-term commitment. The monthly rent is described as low with no hidden charges, and it covers all utilities and overhead, with the exception of the tenant's own phone. Tenants get 24/7 access, so they can set their own hours. Each suite comes equipped with what is needed to open for business.

Inside, the suites are fully enclosed and acoustically built for privacy. They have ten to twelve foot ceilings, upscale flooring and a door window. Shared amenities include free Wi-Fi for tenants and their clients, free use of commercial washers and dryers, a break room with a microwave, sink and seating, abundant parking, a mini-marquee directory listing and after-hours security systems. The interior has water features, bright lighting and multiple seating areas.

Tenants may carry retail products and set their own mark-up on them. Suite tenants can also take advantage of exclusive savings on Phenix Colour Line products, and the Phenix Family Rewards Program can earn members free rent. The business also offers free hands-on education from Europe for hairstylists.
