Jess owns the salon and does the manicures herself. Her background includes a few years working on commission at a sister's salon after beauty school, then opening her own salon in 2014 that housed commissioned and rental workers. She ran that salon for about eight years before scaling back, and she now works at Perfectly Nailed alongside other beauty professionals. Nail art and gel services are her particular focus, and she has developed the salon's nail art offerings over time.

Gel is the core of the menu. A basic gel manicure uses soft gel only and is lighter than the structured version, which builds an apex down the center of the nail with soft and hard gels for added strength. Gel full sets use forms to extend and sculpt the nail, and gel fills maintain existing sets, with up to two repairs included. Old gel is removed with an electric file rather than soaked off in pure acetone. Pedicures come as a regular polish version, a gel polish version, or a naked pedicure with no polish, and the pedicure chairs are removable pipeless massage chairs that are sanitized with hospital-grade disinfectant.

New clients pay a 50% deposit that is applied to the total after service. Appointments need at least 48 hours' notice to cancel without losing the deposit, and late arrivals may lose nail art or repair options. Gift certificates can be bought during an appointment or ordered by text and are delivered digitally or mailed.

The salon removes gel with an electric file instead of soaking it in pure acetone, and it is open with clients that gel does not suit everyone.
