PDL Hair Lounge, also referred to as Projet de Lou, opened in June 2025 at Highwoods Preserve Parkway in Tampa. The menu covers color, haircuts, silk presses, styling add-ons, consultations and extension installs, with each service listed with its own price and time.

The owner, Lou, worked for four years as a behavior analyst supporting children on the autism spectrum before becoming a hairstylist. The salon says the patience and empathy from that earlier work shape how clients are looked after during appointments.

Color consultations are $25 and take 30 minutes. Virtual consultations by FaceTime, also $25, cover hair goals, color, cuts, treatments and product recommendations, and the fee is due at booking and is non-refundable. Color services start at $250, with final pricing depending on hair density, length and how much additional color is needed.

Extensions are pre-ordered after booking, and a team member contacts the client to confirm the order. Traditional sew-in installs with the salon's own PDL Luxe hair include a wash, a trim and a hair net to reduce tension on natural hair. The salon lists Dhair boutique, Yummy extensions and Maxbeauty_hair as hair sources it trusts.

A $25 non-refundable deposit is charged at booking. Bookings are binding, and once payment is made and the booking is confirmed, payments are non-refundable except in cases of proven fraud or criminal negligence. By booking, clients agree to filming and photography during appointments for social media and marketing, and they can ask not to be filmed.

Patience and empathy carried over from behavior analysis work shape how clients are cared for during appointments.
