The salon was started by its owner, Dolores, who began her career at a small local hair salon in Westwood called Here Comes the Sun. She built a large clientele there before opening her own salon, and chose to keep it in River Vale.
Hair technicians are hand-picked by the owner and trained in multiple disciplines, and some have been with the salon for over 25 years. Services are grouped into color, foils, haircuts, tinsel, tinsel haircuts and treatments. Color options range from single-process color and toners to balayage and ombre, with bleach-outs, color streaks and Olaplex add-ons. Several prices are listed as starting amounts.
For weddings, stylists can come to the client and work on the bride, groom, bridesmaids, mother of the bride and the wider bridal party. Packages are offered, and travel fees vary by location.
