Parlour was launched in 2016 by owner Lenise. In July 2024 the business moved into Bloom Salon & Suites, which opened that month with business partner Star Coston. Parlour was launched in 2016 by owner Lenise. In July 2024 the business moved into Bloom Salon & Suites, which opened that month with business partner Star Coston. The salon sits inside the suites building, and parking is available on the street or in two lots at the corner of Old Main Street and Orleans Street.

The salon welcomes clients at any stage of their hair journey and works with all hair textures and types. It uses hair products it describes as high-quality and health-conscious. Hair loss services look for the root cause of a concern and can be booked in person or virtually. Transformative Color covers going lighter, going darker or adding vibrant tones, planned around the health of the hair and the client's goals. New color clients are asked to book a consultation before their first color appointment.

Classes are a major part of the business. The Twist & Talk series includes The Class, a hands-on twist session for up to 20 attendees with two hours of instruction and practice, plus at-home sessions such as Curls Night, Daddy Duty and Preteen Party, along with the One-On-One Twist Class held in the salon. Teens Talk Tresses covers hair structure, products and styling for teenagers. Classes are booked by scheduling a call. Texture education for professional stylists is also offered in person or virtually.

Hours are Tuesday from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, and Friday from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm. The salon is closed on Mondays, Saturdays and Sundays. Contact is by phone at (804) 922-3265 or by email at parlourrva@gmail.com.
