Parlour 3 is part of a small family of brands. Hunter Paige sits one block from the original salon at 7016 Church St. E and offers women's cuts, color, styling and extensions; its stylists are grouped by experience level with a price point for each group, and every stylist completes the Parlour training program and is tested before receiving a chair. Barbour 3 is a relaxed grooming lounge for men next door, decorated with family heirlooms from Melissa Schleicher's great-grandfather. Parlour 3 Agency brings hair and makeup to events, weddings, productions and special occasions.

Clients are matched with a stylist by hand, and the salon is open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 7 pm, closed on weekends. New guests are offered a front desk recommendation when booking a first appointment and are asked to book a color consultation before their first color service; the $50 consultation deposit is applied to the service. Parking is available in a top-floor lot facing Franklin Road and in lower-level lots behind the building, and there is a lower-level entrance at the back facing Pewitt Street.

Cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice. Later cancellations are charged 50 percent of the scheduled services, while no-shows and same-day cancellations are charged in full. Guests more than 15 minutes late may be asked to reschedule and may be charged 50 percent of the day's services. Guests unhappy with a service can contact the salon within 7 days for a re-do, and retail products can be exchanged or refunded within 30 days. Hair extension purchases are nonrefundable and final sale.

Clients are hand-matched with a stylist according to hair goals, preferences and individual needs rather than a level system. Pricing reflects each stylist's specialties, service structure and appointment time, so listed prices are a starting point.

The original salon is described as elevated and inviting, and the business calls itself a place where clients are welcomed, accepted and celebrated.
