Visits begin with a consultation of about 1.5 to 2 hours, held one-to-one in a private setting. The assessment covers lifestyle, medical history, diet and nutrition, and includes a dermoscopic look at the scalp and hair. Clients are placed on the Ludwig or Hamilton-Norwood hair loss scale. For these appointments, hair should be free of fibers or extensions and should not have been shampooed for five to seven days. A separate Blood Chemistry Analysis is a 45-minute phone call about possible causes of hair loss, with results returned within two weeks and an explanation of bloodwork ranges and abbreviations.
The therapy programs are the centre's main offering and come in three tiers, chosen according to a client's goals and how quickly they want to see results. Heal the Hair is the most involved: a six-month program of twelve sessions, held every other week, each lasting two hours. It combines low level laser therapy, scalp exfoliation, scalp massage, an invigorating shampoo, and deep conditioning with a micro mister, along with hair recovery products and a laser cap. Soothe the Scalp and Balance the Body are product-based programs that do not include in-house therapy. The site notes that advanced hair loss may sometimes call for more than one Heal the Hair program, though this is not typical.
Clients who live far away can book a one-hour virtual consultation, followed by an action plan that is updated every quarter through in-person progress reports at the centre. The site says results usually take three to five months on average, depending on the type of hair loss, how long it has been happening and overall health, and that not everyone will recover their hair.
