About

Paige Larrick is the electrologist and the sole practitioner listed, and the practice focuses entirely on permanent hair removal by electrolysis. Paige has practiced since 1991, first in Illinois, and moved the practice's home base to Katy, Texas in 2016.

Electrolysis works by inserting a fine probe into each hair follicle and sending an energy current that destroys the living portion of the follicle. Since hair cycles through growth phases, clearing an area often takes several sessions. According to the practice, electrolysis can target lighter-colored hairs that laser hair removal may not address well. Treatment is available for areas such as the eyebrows, upper lip, chin, underarms, arms, hands, back, abdomen, bikini line, breasts and feet. Paige also offers Thermolysis Electrolysis, a variant in which short-wave radio energy produces heat inside the follicle.

Free consultations can be requested and cover the procedure, what to expect and treatment goals. Sessions are $25 for 15 minutes, $50 for 30 minutes, $70 for 45 minutes and $90 for 60 minutes. Hours are Tuesday through Thursday 8:30am to 6:30pm and Friday and Saturday 8:30am to 1:30pm, closed Sunday and Monday, with other times available on request. Cancellations and reschedules need 24 hours notice; a cancellation inside that window is charged half the scheduled price at the next visit, and a missed appointment with no notice is charged the full price. The business states that electrolysis is the only hair removal method that guarantees complete removal and that electrolysis has FDA approval. It also notes that electrolysis has a history of nearly 150 years.
