About

Pacific Styling College trains estheticians at its North Bristol Street location in Santa Ana. The program totals 600 hours and prepares students for the California state esthetician license. The Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education has authorized the school to operate, and the school states that its curriculum meets California State Board requirements. Students who finish receive a Certificate of Completion.

Students can choose between on-campus training and a hybrid format. The on-campus route is 600 hours of in-person instruction in 4-hour sessions, five days a week. The hybrid route combines 300 hours of online coursework on Milady's CIMA Platform with 300 hours in person at the campus, including hands-on clinic work. The hybrid option is not a fully online program. Full-time study takes about 15 weeks at up to 8 hours a day, and part-time study at 20 hours a week takes about 30 weeks. Completion time shifts with attendance, holidays and school closures.

Training covers skin histology, skin conditions, skin analysis and client consultation, with customized treatment planning. Students also learn manual and European facials, deep cleansing and professional facial massage, along with exfoliation, chemical peels, microdermabrasion and advanced resurfacing. Hair removal instruction includes waxing, tweezing, sugaring, depilatories and threading. Lash and brow units cover tinting, perming, individual lash applications and brow shaping. Makeup application is included, and safety units address infection control, disinfection, workplace safety and California cosmetology regulations.

Students practice on real clients in the campus clinic, which has treatment rooms, professional equipment, student clinic areas, classrooms and a student lounge. Classes run in day and evening cohorts. The morning cohort meets Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The evening cohort meets Tuesday through Friday from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Instruction and materials are available in English and in Spanish.

Admission requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent, a valid government-issued photo ID, and applicants must be at least 17 years old. Applicants complete an enrollment form, interview with admissions and tour the campus. No application fee is charged, and monthly payment plans with no-interest financing options are offered. Graduates are shown paths in luxury spas and resorts, medical aesthetics and entrepreneurship.

The school trains estheticians through a combination of classroom instruction, online coursework in the hybrid format, and supervised practice on real clients in its campus clinic.
