The clinic is on Beverly Blvd, a few steps from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, on the third floor with elevator access. It is open seven days a week from 8 AM to 9 PM, and same-day appointments are available. Clients have reserved patient parking at 8752 Rosewood Ave, around the corner, with assigned spots on the top ramp. Street parking on Robertson Blvd is an option and the site notes it can be easier after hours. Calls are answered directly by a Certified Hyperbaric Technician rather than a receptionist, and you can reach the clinic by phone at (213) 260-0838, or by SMS or email at info@oxyrenew.la.
Before the first session, every client completes a safety screening, which the clinic covers, and the technician reviews conditions and medications that make pressurized sessions unsuitable. If HBOT is not right for someone, the clinic says so. Technicians teach equalizing techniques for ear and sinus pressure, which is the most common side effect, and vital signs are checked before each session. Session length and scheduling are set in a consultation with a Certified Hyperbaric Technician. A technician is assigned to each client and monitors every session from start to finish, and the pressure is raised gradually so a session can be slowed or paused at any time.
Sessions take place in a private, sit-down hard-shell chamber pressurized to 2.0 ATA with filtered air, with pressure and oxygen-level sensors for monitoring. Clients breathe concentrated oxygen through a personal mask or cannula, following a cycle of 20 minutes on oxygen and 5 minutes on chamber air, with oxygen breaks in longer sessions. Clients can read, work, or use a phone, laptop or tablet, and a complimentary iPad is provided in the chamber. Blankets are offered before treatment.
A single 60-minute session costs $240, a 90-minute session $290, and a 120-minute session $340. Packages of 3, 6, 10 or 20 sessions are priced per session length. The 60-minute packages are $612, $1,200, $1,920 and $3,600; the 90-minute packages are $740, $1,450, $2,320 and $4,350; and the 120-minute packages are $867, $1,700, $2,720 and $5,100. Multi-session packages save up to 25% per session compared with single sessions. Packages are valid for 12 months from purchase and are non-refundable and non-transferable, and prices are subject to change. Gift packages and gift cards are available. Most clients book between 6 and 10 sessions, and no doctor's referral is needed to book.
HSA and FSA payments are accepted in person. The clinic does not bill insurance directly, but provides a detailed receipt for possible reimbursement, and HSA and FSA administrators generally require a Letter of Medical Necessity from the client's healthcare provider.
Before a session, clients should eat within one hour, avoid alcohol and carbonated drinks for four hours, avoid caffeine, and skip smoking or tobacco for four hours before and during treatment. Loose clothing, preferably 100% cotton, is recommended, and jewelry, cosmetics and certain items should be removed before entering the chamber. Clients with respiratory infection symptoms or a fever are asked to reschedule. Air travel should be avoided for 24 hours before and after treatment, and anyone with an implanted medical device must contact the clinic and receive medical clearance first. Temporary changes in near and distance vision can occur during a series, so the clinic advises against changing eyewear prescriptions during a course, and clients with cataracts should mention them during screening.
The services are offered for general wellness and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and the clinic does not provide medical treatment. The site notes that its statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration, and that studies of HBOT for recovery, energy, skin health and focus have varying findings with much of the evidence preliminary.
Protocols are described as following published research and established hyperbaric standards, with air-pressurized chambers used for wellness and recovery.
Private sessions in a sit-down chamber with a blanket and room to read, work or stream.
