Otium

Otium is set up for relaxation, with the aim of calm and a clear head. Clients can have tea at the tea bar before an appointment. The salon says it aims for the highest level of service.

The manicure menu includes a Classic No Polish Manicure at $30 (25 minutes), which covers nail trim and shape, wet cuticle care, a 3-minute massage and a hand scrub. The Classic Shiny Buff Manicure ($45, 35 minutes) adds a shiny buff, and the Classic Dazzle Dry Manicure ($45, 35 minutes) finishes with regular polish. The Classic Gel Manicure ($60, 45 minutes) uses gel polish and does not include a massage in the same way, while the Kid's Manicure ($30, 25 minutes) uses a light cuticle clean, a light massage and regular polish. Polish changes on hands are also offered, with dry lacquer at $30 (20 minutes) and gel at $45 (30 minutes).

The lash room begins with a consultation covering each client's natural lashes, daily routine and goals. Lash sets are tailored to the individual, and the techniques are chosen with lash health in mind.

Hair removal is done with gentle methods. Removal of gel, acrylic, hard gel and extensions should be booked in advance, and the removal fee is waived when the client books the same service as the one being removed.

Clients who want a particular nail design are asked to share a photo of it a day or more ahead of their booking, which lets the team plan the work and provide an estimate. Rescheduling or cancelling a booking requires a full day's notice. A cancellation made inside that window, or a no-show with no warning, may be billed the full price of the service. Clients who repeatedly miss appointments may be asked to pay a deposit before booking again. If a late arrival forces the service to be shifted, a rescheduling charge may apply. Cancelled or missed visits are not refunded, but emergencies and similar situations are considered case by case when the client reaches out. Gift cards are sold in values of $50, $100, $150 and $200, or in a custom amount.

Cuticle care follows a dry method adapted from Russian manicure practice, with wet cuticle care suggested for clients who get hangnails or have sensitive skin. Nail shapes are designed around proportion, balance, finger length, nail bed shape and everyday hand use, and each service ends with a quality-control check.
