The Venice Skincare Studio pairs a treatment space with a retail store on Abbot Kinney Boulevard. It is open every day from 10am to 6pm Pacific time. The brand describes this location as its first and only skincare studio, and the first one opened in Venice in 2018.

OSEA is the skincare brand behind the studio. It was founded in 1996 by a mother and daughter, and the family still owns and leads the company. Founder Jenefer Palmer spent about a decade developing seaweed-powered formulas before starting the brand, after earlier work as spa director at Murrieta Hot Springs Resort in the 1980s. The name stands for ocean, sun, earth and atmosphere.

The studio's facial menu has four treatments. The Cranial Wave Facial is a 50-minute session customized to each client, with cranial touch massage and High-Frequency, and includes $15 in product credit. The Deep Sea Age Defying Facial runs 80 minutes and uses sea minerals and plant-based botanicals with cranial touch therapy, lymphatic drainage massage, High-Frequency and LED light, plus $25 in product credit. The Sculpt & Lift Gua Sha Facial is also 80 minutes, uses crystals from land and sea with thermal and sound vibrational therapies, and includes $35 in product credit. The Dream Firming Facial, 80 minutes, combines sound frequencies, a seaweed cleanse, a dual-layer bio-retinol infusion with nano oxygen technology, and a targeted serum with a tightening moisturizer. The studio says this facial helps reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles and improves the look of firmness and elasticity.

The Studio Membership includes one 50- or 80-minute facial each month and takes $15 off each treatment. Unused facials can be rolled over for up to six months or given to a friend. Membership can be frozen or cancelled with at least seven days' notice before the billing date, and product-redemption credits must be used at the facial they are applied to rather than accumulating.

For a visit, arrive about 10 minutes early and there is no need to wash your face beforehand. Clients with a beard can receive a facial; if you shave, the studio asks that you do so at least 24 hours before treatment. Cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice, otherwise the full reservation amount is charged to the card on file, and no refunds are given for late cancellations, late reschedules or no-shows. If you are running late, call the studio, as it may offer a shorter treatment or reschedule. Facials cannot be done within two weeks of medical facial procedures such as Botox, fillers, medical-grade peels, brow tints or lash extensions. The studio is cashless and accepts credit cards, debit cards and OSEA Studio Gift Cards. Pets are not allowed unless arranged in advance, though service dogs are always welcome.

Facials pair seaweed-based OSEA formulas with gua sha and cranial touch techniques. The brand describes its products as clean, clinically tested and plant-based, and the studio says its facials do not include harsh treatments such as peels.
