About

Doris Williamson founded the training institute in 1987. She had trained in electrology in New York City and practiced in Philadelphia before opening the Orlando clinic. According to the site, the clinic was among the earliest permanent hair removal practices to add laser treatment, beginning in 1995.

Electrolysis is offered as permanent hair removal using individual sterilized disposable probes. It is priced at $60 for 15 minutes (the minimum charge), $90 for 30 minutes and $160 for 60 minutes, and the electrolysis consultation is complimentary. Laser hair removal uses Candela Alexandrite (755 nm) and Nd:YAG (1064 nm) lasers and is priced per area treated, with fees quoted at the initial consultation. The laser consultation is free, and a one-time physician clearance and test spot costs $75. Every client is consulted first to determine candidacy and is test spotted before the first laser treatment.

Medical and skin services include Botox (neuromodulators) for lines, lifts and smile concerns, priced from $400 to $1,000 or more depending on the units used in the area treated, and HA dermal fillers for wrinkles, volume loss and lip augmentation. Clinical skin care covers customized facials, detox and extractions, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, acne and laser acne treatments, hyperpigmentation treatments, back treatments and laser photo rejuvenation. Clinical skin care clients receive a complimentary consultation and skin analysis at their first visit. Products come from Obagi, SkinMedica and PCA, with home care lines for many skin types.

The school holds approval from the Florida Department of Education's Commission for Independent Education and also has an electrolysis facility license issued by the Florida Department of Health. Several Florida boards regulate its programs. The Electrology Program runs 320 clock hours with total fees of $15,450, and the Facial Specialty Program runs 260 clock hours with total fees of $12,837. Electrology graduates can apply for licensure in Florida. Students who plan to work in other states can also train here, and the programs are adjusted to fit each state. According to the school, its team has the most experience in Orlando in these fields, and it describes its providers as pioneers in permanent hair removal and clinical skin care.

Each client is consulted before treatment, with candidacy assessed and test spots done before laser work, and laser services are supervised by the medical director.

The setting is professional and clinical, and training classes are small.
