ORENN

Orenn is a two-person studio focused on textured hair. The founders hold that wavy, curly and coily hair deserves the same scientific attention as any other biological material, and the salon describes its work as science-backed and evidence-informed. Both partners are currently studying with the International Association of Trichologists, with a focus on hair and scalp health, and one partner is pursuing advanced education in cosmetic chemistry centered on formulation and ingredient behavior for textured hair.

Each visit starts with an assessment of curl structure and how the hair behaves. Care is then chosen from what that assessment shows rather than from current trends, and each service is treated as an ongoing process instead of a single result.

Sessions start with a dry cut built around each client's curl pattern, density and how their hair grows. Next, a treatment is chosen to suit what the hair needs at that visit: moisture, rebuilding, clearing product residue, fortifying, or rebalancing. A stylist then guides the styling, and clients leave with a step-by-step home care routine meant to support healthy curls and steady results between appointments.

Orenn is a non-chemical studio and does not offer color, relaxers, perms or smoothing treatments. Returning clients can book Dry Cut to Go, a maintenance cut for small refinements and shape upkeep; clients who need a significant structural or length change are asked to book a Cut & Style service instead. Virtual consultations are one-on-one video appointments for assessing hair and scalp concerns, held on Pacific time with a Zoom link sent an hour before, and they are non-refundable. The salon also accepts applications from stylists who want to rent space.

Bookings are made online for individual or group appointments. A non-refundable booking fee of 20% is due at booking. Changes or cancellations within 48 hours of the appointment are charged the full service fee. One reschedule is allowed without losing the booking fee if the new date falls within 7 days of the original appointment; a second reschedule, or a date outside that window, forfeits the fee and requires a new one. Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late may receive a modified or shortened service, depending on availability, and guests are not permitted during appointments.

Hair is assessed before any service is chosen, and care is based on hair structure and condition rather than trends, with each appointment treated as an ongoing process.
