Opalite Hair Studio

Opalite Hair Studio is a salon in Galt that offers hair services, nail services and facial waxing. It is owned by Julia Williams, a hairstylist who also mentors other stylists. The studio works by appointment only, and availability differs from one stylist to the next, so clients book through the booking page of the person they want.

The studio's stylists focus on different areas. Julia Williams works mainly on custom color and luxury extensions, and also offers braided extension work, hair tinsel and custom flare hair. Taylor focuses on blonding, grey blending and layered cuts. Britany works on textured cuts, long layers, pixies, voluminous curls and color for grey coverage or brighter, vivid shades. Sonia is the nail technician, offering acrylics, Gel-X, soft gel and manicures, with designs built around each client's own style.

Stylist booking pages list the studio's hours: Wednesday from 10 AM to 5 PM, Thursday from 1 PM to 7 PM, Friday and Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM, and closed Sunday through Tuesday. Cancellations or changes need at least 48 hours notice. Cancellations inside 48 hours are charged half the booked price, which can be applied to a new appointment booked within two weeks. No-shows and same-day cancellations are charged the full price of the service. Extension deposits are non-refundable, and for a first extension install canceled before the appointment, neither the deposit nor the hair bought with it is refunded.

The studio has free parking in its lot, Wi-Fi, complimentary beverages and wheelchair access, and it welcomes children. It says it supports the LGBTQIA+ community. Payment accepts major cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Zelle and cash, and Klarna, Afterpay and Affirm on qualifying orders. The studio is also recruiting stylists and offers backbar and retail commission to them.
