Oneira works from a suite inside Eclectic Beauty Lounge on NE 114th Avenue in Vancouver. The studio is run by its owner, Ava, a licensed esthetician who focuses on sugaring and waxing. Services are grouped into bikini, face and body menus, with sugaring and waxing offered separately.

About

It uses a paste made from sugar, lemon and water, applied at body temperature and lifted in the direction of hair growth. The studio says sugaring is gentle on sensitive skin and gives long-lasting results, and its FAQ notes that the paste grips the hair more than the skin. Waxing is also offered for larger areas such as the full back, full leg and half back.

Appointments are booked online through a GlossGenius page under Eclectic Beauty Lounge. The studio is open Tuesday and Friday from 10am to 3pm, and Wednesday and Thursday from 10am to 7pm. Male intimate services are available by referral only. The studio advises a hair length of about a quarter inch for the best results, usually two to three weeks after shaving, and gentle exfoliation the day before and again two to three days after a service. Clients using retinol, tretinoin, Accutane or strong exfoliants are asked to mention it before booking. The studio says most clients book every four to six weeks and that discomfort tends to ease with regular visits.

Hair removal is kept comfortable and unhurried, with careful work and clear aftercare guidance for each visit.
