Olympus Movement Performance describes itself as a one-stop place for health, fitness and wellness. Under one roof at 1497 Poinsettia Avenue in Vista, it brings together sports physical therapy, functional fitness, sports performance training, laser therapy, infrared and red light sauna sessions and naturopathic medicine. The business is open 7am to 7pm Monday through Friday, with weekend visits by appointment only.
Sports physical therapy and rehab serve teens and adults, with a focus on high school, college and professional athletes. ACL rehabilitation is a specialty, followed from the first day after surgery through full return-to-play. One-on-one sessions with a doctor of physical therapy run an hour and cost $150. Evaluations use VALD equipment: ForceFrame measures isometric strength across major joints and muscle groups, SmartSpeed timing gates measure sprinting, acceleration, agility and change of direction, and DynaMo measures strength and joint range of motion during evaluations and return-to-sport assessments.
Functional fitness classes cover strength training, Olympic lifting, metcon, HIIT, mobility, nutrition and gymnastics. Classes run Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7am, 9am, 12pm and 4pm, and Tuesday and Thursday at 9am, 12pm and 4pm. A limited membership of two sessions per week costs $120, an unlimited membership costs $150, and a 10-class pack costs $250. Drop-in prices are not listed.
Sports performance training covers injury resilience, strength, power, speed, acceleration, agility and recovery, in private and semi-private formats for athletes ages 13 and up. Group classes for high school and elite performance meet Monday and Wednesday at 5pm and Friday at 4pm, and middle school and foundation performance classes meet Monday and Wednesday at 4pm and Friday at 4pm. A one-day drop-in costs $35, the unlimited monthly membership costs $200, and the 10-session punchcard costs $250 and works for all sports performance classes during the year. Private training for one athlete costs $110 for one session, $420 for four and $800 for eight, and custom packages are available for groups of three or more athletes.
Laser therapy is offered as LightForce Class IV medical laser sessions at $60 each or $300 for six, and as a physical therapy add-on at $30 each or $150 for six. Appointments are listed as 15 minutes, though treatment time varies with the size of the area and the power needed. The business states that LightForce laser stimulates cell ATP production, which it says can lead to faster recovery. The infrared and red light sauna has five infrared heat panels and four red light bulbs, reaching up to 150 degrees, in 20-minute or 45-minute sessions; a 20-minute red light session is listed at $30. Naturopathic visits begin with a 15-minute virtual discovery session and a 30-minute lab review, followed by a 60-minute initial comprehensive visit and 60- and 45-minute follow-ups. Services include PRP facial rejuvenation, PRP hair restoration (the business notes PRP is not indicated for certain types of hair loss), IV nutrient therapy in standard bags, which may require labs before scheduling, and B12 and glutathione injections.
The integrated wellness team investigates the root causes behind complaints like tiredness, cloudy thinking, trouble losing weight and poor sleep, then designs an individual treatment plan for every client.
