The salon was founded by Olivia Castillo Lopez, who leased a room in Round Rock to start her own business after cosmetology school and later built the salon at 411 N Lampasas St. She opened a second salon in Georgetown in 1975, later sold it, and in 1980 bought a site for a third salon on Williams Drive.

The salon was founded by Olivia Castillo Lopez, who leased a room in Round Rock to start her own business after cosmetology school and later built the salon at 411 N Lampasas St. She opened a second salon in Georgetown in 1975, later sold it, and in 1980 bought a site for a third salon on Williams Drive.
After Olivia died in December 2014, the Round Rock salon passed to her sister, Mary Castillo Carlin, who took ownership that year and ran it until her death in February 2023. The business is still owned and operated by the founder's family.
The salon serves clients in the same spirit it was built on, offering cuts, color and texture services with stylists who book their own appointments. It also caters to independent stylists who offer a range of beauty services.
