The loc work covers maintenance, where locs are washed, retwisted and styled for ongoing care, from $120 and 140 minutes or more. Starter locs are a longer service from $155, around 210 minutes, in which the hair is washed, set into starter locs by the twist or coil method, and lightly styled. The pipe cleaner curl set, at $155 for about 200 minutes, combines a wash, retwist and pipe cleaner curls and also requires the $25 deposit. Crochet repair, from $30 and 25 minutes or more, is for areas of growth that are not yet connected to locs.
Add-ons and treatments can be combined with a visit. A scalp massage takes about 5 minutes at $20 and is given either during the wash, with steam and a choice of essential oil, or after the wash with a massager comb and oil. Deep conditioning with steam is a 15-minute hydration treatment at $20. Loc detox, at $30 and 15 minutes, is a full detox meant to remove product build-up, dirt and oils. Jewels and accessories can be added to locs from $4.
New clients begin with a free 10-minute consultation, by phone or in person, to talk through what they want the result to look like before booking. Dye services are color retouches to the roots or to a few locs, from $15, and a consultation is required first.
Booking rules are firm: appointments not kept within a 15-minute grace period are rescheduled or cancelled, and a $10 late fee applies, with the salon communicating about it. Clients can also send questions to the stylist through a contact form on the site.
Each new client starts with a no-cost consultation to match the service to what they want from the result, and the salon's services are organized around loc care, from maintenance and repair to detox and conditioning.
