Oakton Nails & Spa began in 1997 as a small salon in Oakton, Virginia, and the salon states it has been part of the local nail care scene for 29 years. Its menu covers hands and feet, from classic manicures and pedicures to gel, dipping powder and acrylic or gel extensions, along with facials, waxing and a set of services for children.

The salon puts sanitation first. Metal tools are cleaned, sealed in sterilization envelopes and run through a hospital-grade autoclave between clients, with UV light also used. Every client gets new files, buffers and pumice stones, which are discarded after use, and clients are welcome to take their files home. Pedicure bowls are fitted with disposable liners.

The Organic Spa Pedicure includes a choice of scent, sugar scrub, callus treatment, herbal neck wrap, masque and massage. Deluxe, Volcano, Oakton Signature and King/Queen for a Day versions add steps such as individually packaged treatments, a single-use collagen kit, paraffin wax, hot stone massage and butter massage, with a range of scents available.

For nail color, the salon says it carries over 200 gel polish colors and over 200 SNS dipping powder shades, along with brands including OPI, Essie, CND gel, Perfect Match and DC. It states its products are natural, vegan, organic and nontoxic, including 10-free and 5-free polish lines. For acrylic work, it says it uses ethyl methacrylate rather than methyl methacrylate.
