Oak & Opal Studios

Oak & Opal Studios is a hair salon at 9090 First Street in Frisco. It was started as a new concept by its owner, Brittney Fernandes, after years of working in salon suites, and it is run by Oak and Opal Studios, LLC.

The salon works on a booth-rent model. Stylists work from private suites or open-concept stations, and the space includes a designed waiting area and a shared shampoo area. Clients book with an individual stylist through that stylist's section on the salon's booking site.

Services cover cutting and styling, color, extensions, blowouts, and special occasion styles. Cut and Style is a customized haircut built for long-term wear, with layers and short precision cuts, priced from $75 to $125 depending on the stylist. Blowouts come in smooth and sleek, soft and voluminous, or textured looks, priced from $65 to $185 and done with professional products that protect and enhance shine.

Color and Color Corrections cover dimensional color, lived-in blondes, gray coverage, brunettes, reds, and fashion shades, from $100 to $550 depending on the stylist and the total service. Color corrections are offered by consultation only. Extensions are customized, with K-Tips, I-Tips, tape-ins, and beaded wefts; the technique is chosen for each client's hair type and lifestyle, and the salon states its extension team is certified in these methods. Extensions cost $1,000 to $2,400.

Special occasion styles include updos and soft glam waves for weddings, formal events, and celebrations. The salon also offers the Reset Ritual, which it describes as an exclusive service it created.
