Plans are built around the donor hair a patient will still have later in life. When hair loss is still active, the practice may recommend medical therapy before any surgery, and some consultations end with a recommendation not to operate yet. Candidacy for hair restoration can only be determined by a physical examination. Pattern hair loss is treated as cosmetic and is not covered by insurance, so it is paid out of pocket.
A consultation takes about forty minutes and includes an examination of the scalp and donor zone under magnification, followed by a plan. Requests submitted through the website receive a reply within the next business day.
A single FUE session typically takes most of a working day, and larger cases are often staged across several sessions. Transplanted hairs shed at two to four weeks and regrowth usually starts around three to six months, so patients are seen through shedding and regrowth, with final density assessed at twelve to eighteen months. The practice shows before-and-after photographs of specific patients and notes that outcomes are not predicted for other patients. It does not perform FUT (strip harvesting) or DHI.
Harvest is spread across the donor zone to limit visible thinning, and the practice states it takes no more than twenty to thirty percent from one zone per session. The practice also states that PRP and a hair transplant address different problems and are often planned together.
