Booking starts with a 30-minute consultation that covers a client's lifestyle, hair type and style preferences. The stylist uses that conversation to plan maintenance and styling.
Installs for Two Strands Microloc, Braidloc and Interloc take about 12 hours. Starting prices are $1,600 for Two Strands Microloc, $1,800 for Braidloc and $2,000 for Interloc, and the time needed varies with hair length.
Maintenance includes a retie, which re-twists and tightens locs and takes 4 hours at $185. That base price covers the first 6 weeks. Each additional week of overdue maintenance adds $50, and overdue maintenance takes about 6 hours. Repair work is available for up to 4 hours at $75.
A deep cleansing shampoo takes an hour and costs $85. It includes a scalp scrub and a blow-dry. If the stylist did not originally style the hair, style removal costs an extra $20.
