Nurtured Soul Wellness

Based in Fremont, Nurtured Soul Wellness is a solo practice led by Flossy Puth, offering skin care and electrolysis under a license. Clients travel in from the East Bay, South Bay and Tri-Valley. First-time visitors begin with a complimentary 30-minute consultation, where the practice reviews skin or hair concerns and maps out what comes next.

The studio's skin care focuses on sensitive, reactive and compromised skin. Customized facials come in 60, 90 and 120-minute versions, priced at $150, $215 and $290. Each facial is planned around how the skin is doing that day. Nurturing hand hydration is included when appropriate, and the 120-minute facial also includes foot hydration when appropriate. Facials use Hale & Hush and organic Elina Organics, lines made for sensitive skin.

The Oncology Facial, a 60-minute service at $95, is for clients in active cancer treatment, recovery or survivorship. Each step is adapted to what the skin can tolerate, and it uses oncology-safe products from Hale & Hush and O Skin Love. Electrolysis is offered as permanent hair removal, with three methods: galvanic, thermolysis and blend. The method is chosen at consultation. The studio describes galvanic as especially suited to coarse or curved hair, thermolysis as efficient on finer hair and larger areas, and blend as often used for stubborn or difficult hair. A new-client intro session of 10 to 15 minutes costs $50, and allow about 45 minutes for the first appointment. Sessions are priced at $90 for 30 minutes, $140 for 60, $205 for 90 and $280 for 120.

Timelines are estimated at consultation and kept conservative. Small areas typically take several months to about a year, medium areas one to two years, and large or dense areas two to three years or longer. All electrolysis is private pay, and a superbill is available on request for insurance submission. Services are esthetic and non-medical; the studio does not diagnose, treat or address medical conditions. Clients are asked to avoid new skin care products or topical medications on the treatment area for at least one week before a facial. Clients can book by phone, online or in person, and the studio sells a small selection of professional skin care lines for home use that can be shipped.
