NuHair Ink has two clinics: one in Midtown Sacramento and one in Roseville. The Roseville location draws clients from Rocklin, Granite Bay, Lincoln, Citrus Heights, Loomis and surrounding areas. Its specialty is scalp micropigmentation, a cosmetic technique that uses pigment to mimic the look of a shaved or closely cropped hair pattern. The procedure does not grow hair. According to the business, the goal is results that look natural.

Many scalp micropigmentation plans take more than one session, with the number depending on the area to be covered, how the skin responds and the result the client wants. Pricing varies with the treated area, its size and complexity, and the sessions recommended, and a personalized quote follows the assessment. Consultations are by appointment only, and clients are asked to confirm their location and appointment details before visiting. Business hours are listed as every day from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm.

The first consultation is complimentary and carries no obligation to go ahead. It covers the client's goals and concerns, an initial assessment of the treatment area, personalized options and pricing guidance, and time for questions. Treatment suitability, risks and benefits are discussed at that stage.

Aftercare includes free touch-ups, according to the aftercare page. For the first four days the treated area should not be touched, showered on, shaved, exposed to sweating activities, products or direct sun. The scalp should not be shaved with a razor blade for at least 10 days, though an electric trimmer may be used. A non-perfumed moisturizer is recommended from day five, applied up to three times daily.

Beyond scalp micropigmentation, the practice offers Scalp Air, a complementary scalp appearance service suited to some clients' goals, and a cosmetic plasma fibroblast treatment promoted for selected areas of skin laxity and fine lines. A consultation may determine whether a referral to a licensed medical professional is appropriate for the fibroblast treatment. Financing is available for scalp micropigmentation and eligible aesthetic treatments, subject to provider approval, through CareCredit at the Roseville clinic and through Cherry, with plan availability set by each provider.
