NQ Salon was started by Nina and Quina as their own salon. Both had spent many years working together in major hair salons in the area before opening it on Brook Street in Scarsdale.

The menu covers haircuts, color and highlights, ombre, blow-dries and comb-outs, keratin treatments for curly or frizzy hair, styling for everyday and special occasions, and makeup. Bridal hair and makeup for wedding days is offered as its own group of services.

The founders say they aim to leave clients happy with their hairstyles and to make as many people happy as they can. The salon also hopes that people who arrive as guests will leave feeling like friends.

Appointments are booked by calling the salon. It is open Tuesday and Wednesday from 9am to 5pm, Thursday through Saturday from 9am to 7pm, and Sunday from 9am to 4pm, and it is closed on Mondays. The salon is also hiring experienced hairdressers to join the team in Westchester County; interested applicants email a resume and arrange a visit to the salon.
