Nozomi Electrolysis is a single-service clinic that offers only electrolysis, a permanent hair removal method. The technique suits both facial and body hair, and it can address most zones of the face and body: brows, chin, upper lip, sideburns, neck, underarms, bikini line, abdomen, legs, and chest and back.

Electrolysis works by inserting a fine probe into the opening of each hair follicle and applying a small amount of energy to destroy the cells that produce hair. Because hair grows in cycles, several treatments are usually needed. The method works on all skin tones and hair colors, including blonde, gray, red, and white hair.

New clients start with a complimentary consultation, where goals are discussed and a personalized treatment plan is created. Sessions are offered in 15, 30, 45, 60, 90, and 120 minute lengths, from $50 to $220. Most clients describe the sensation as a brief heat or tingling feeling, and sensitivity varies by person and treatment area.

Between treatments, clients are asked not to shave and to avoid waxing, tweezing, and threading, since those methods remove the hair the treatment needs. Hair should be allowed to grow long enough to be visible before an appointment, and specific instructions are given at the consultation.
